Why the Park works

  • Kinder on the knees

Pickleball especially: a smaller court and less running. Padel rewards placement over power.

  • Daytime, not date night

Weekday mornings and afternoons are quieter, friendlier and now half price.

  • Social by design

Open Matches and the Tuesday and Wednesday pickleball socials are how regulars meet. Come solo.

  • Indoor, year-round

Six covered courts at a comfortable temperature. No wind, no rain, no cancelled game.

60+ Pass questions

I've never played. Is it really for beginners?

Yes. Pickleball is one of the easiest racket sports to start, and padel's glass walls keep rallies going. Our free 30-minute intros are made for first-timers.

How physically demanding is it?

You set the pace. Off-peak times are quieter, and pickleball involves less running than padel, with most rallies at the net.

Do I need my own racket or paddle?

No. Hire one from the vending machine 24/7 or the pro shop, and try a few before you decide.

I don't have a partner.

That's the message we get most. Use Open Matches in the app to be matched with players at your level, or come to a social: partners rotate every round.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. The 60+ Pass is free to add and never expires. You only pay for the courts you book, at half the off-peak rate.

Can I bring my grandkids?

Yes. Courts are booked per court, not per player, and pickleball is brilliant across generations.

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking all around the building at 82 Duke Street.

Do you work with retirement villages?

We're happy to talk about group sessions. Email office@padelpark.nz.
